Keep your hearing intact by using convenient disposable hearing protection

When speaking with most audiologists, they agree that most people don’t do enough to protect their hearing when they work in noisy environments.  Most people don’t like hearing protection because it is heavy and uncomfortable.  You can now buy disposable hearing protection that is convenient, light and effective.  Disposable hearing protection is also very cheap.

Passive hearing protection is available in one of two forms.  You can wear ear muffs which fit over your ears completely and block the sound.  These are effective at reducing noise levels by 15-30 dB.  Your other option is disposable hearing protection or ear plugs that actually go into the ear canal and totally block it.  They too can reduce noise by between 15-30 dB.

Disposable hearing protection come in a variety or pre-made shapes and sizes or you have them custom made.  They are available in sizes that fit both adults and children.  For double protection, you can wear both ear muffs and ear plugs at the same time.  Some industries require this as a standard to offer maximum protection to employees.  Be sure you know what you need to ensure you protect your hearing.
