Custom hearing device - perfect fit, programming and feel

Once you have visited your audiologist and find out you need hearing aids if you want to hear better, you have some choices to consider.  Depending on the extent of your hearing loss, you may select a custom hearing device.  A custom hearing device is specially made for you once an impression of your ear is taken.

With a good impression of your ear, you can get a custom hearing device or hearing aid that will fit you perfectly.  A good fit will help reduce background noise and will be much more effective than a hearing aid bought off the shelf.  Custom hearing aids are very popular but beware, they are also very expensive.

Some insurance health plans cover the cost or portion of the cost of a custom hearing device and some don’t.  We recommend that you speak with your insurance company but be safe.  You can choose from a number of styles including ITE or in the ear, ITC, in the canal and CIC or completely in the canal.  These come in a variety of sizes for a perfect fit.
